Alternative universes.

There are a lot of stories about one destiny...

You can do 'Zoom In' or 'Zoom out' for watching closer (:

Woah. It's kinda magical, you know? I mean, I stared at it for about 15 minutes and I thought about it all. About this alternative universes, about Cas and his "observer" role, or, like the title says, the creation role. And somehow I came to thinking about the universe and space and destiny and all that shit. And I was like "woah, this... this is so powerful art".

 It's so
peaceful and.. huh, mystical? Nah, it's not that word that i looking for, but I think that I'm close. The atmosphere is indescribable (I also read all comments and and among them there also appropriate word "melancholy" and I agree with that). Your choice about music is very accurate. And when I say "very accurate" I mean "holy shit, cause of the existence of this music was to be part of the art"!

So, you do incredible good work here.
One more question: this pulsing, blue light in the middle of circle has some meaning or is that just blue, pulsing light and
I'm starting to exaggerate with the interpretation? Anyway, it's look subtly and gently. All this machine is like little piece of masterpiece.

This is so beautiful. I would just stare at this forever if I could. It makes me wish I could sit with him and watch.

But this is how you, probably, would be watching him sitting in the same room. :huggle: And...yeah. This could be eternity for me.

This is one of my favorite art pieces, and I have written a review of it and posted it on my DeviantArt journal and my blog.

Oh... wait... I read it and I was in shock, definitely. It's the first time I get such a thorough review of my work, and... Has it taken long for you to write it? Because it's huge and detailed.
I really appreciate it, thank you a lot.
Honestly, you opened my eyes with the couple of your thoughts, and I don't know where I can reply, but...
It all was very interesting. But the idea is not quite true: all the platforms, all the words are 'alternative universes' (I tended it as the most common AUs in Supernatural fandom). (And... Honestly? This is the first time I hear about this fanfic mermaid story :D, is it well-known? But I knew there was a time with a bunch of mermaid-SPN arts, and I gave it a place.)
I confess, I should add more information about these worlds which Castiel-demiurge created, but I was inspired by the book called 'The Demiurges' games' (Игры демиургов), and I made an animation artwork and a fanfic story, but I know a plenty of people wouldn't be able to read it... and all I can do - it's just telling them more about this frozen moment of Castiel's eternity, if they want too.
But there was the second purpose for me - to let viewer watch calm and peaceful art, take a moment and listen to the beautiful music, and think about something we can't reach, but can imagine.
There are six stories in art, but there's one more - the one that everyone's making up for himself.
I enjoyed all of your theories, they are all great and sometimes they are right, and I'm so grateful

I don't remember how long it took to write the review, but I'm a writer and I never keep track of the time it takes to write anything.

Okay, all the platforms are "alternate universes" and don't reference canon at all. Interesting. Now I'm more intrigued about what each platform means, except for the mermaid platform, since you explained that one. I wonder if you should explain what each little platform story means in the artwork description; I had so much fun coming up with my own interpretation, and I'd hate for someone else to miss out on that experience if all they need to do is read what's in the description. But that's not up to me; I'm just thinking aloud here.

:) I'm not sure if you're kidding when you say you haven't heard of "Out of the Deep," but in case you aren't, it's a novel-length epic set in an AU where angels are merpeople (who call themselves "fin-kin"). (Spoilers ahead) Sam and Jess are scientists, Dean and Bobby are ship mechanics, and they all work on a research vessel owned by Lilith, an exotic animal collector who's set her sights on owning a merman. You can find it here: [link].

This art piece is calm and peaceful in many ways. The viewer observes the scene from some distance away, so the viewer is unaffected by whatever happens and can stay safe. The music and neutral colors lend a feeling of calm to the artwork. Castiel--the large version of him sitting at the table--certainly seems to be at peace, too. But the small stories on the bobbing and rotating platform don't seem calm or peaceful. I don't think this is a bad thing; the stories they tell just seem to be very dynamic and busy.

I love your response to my review. You've answered many of the questions I had about the piece, and I appreciate it. Keep making intriguing art.
